Does it cost money to use LinkingAgents?
The service that LinkingAgents provides is free. There is no cost for you or the agent that you work with. However, if a sale is completed, then the agent will pay an Agent Referral Fee for the successful transaction.

What makes the agents from this Network better than other agents?

The Linking Agents Network only works with agents that meet specific requirements:

• Our agents must have a minimum of three years of full-time real estate experience and have closed 25 transactions in the last 12 months.

• We thoroughly screen agents to ensure they have the skills, local knowledge for your needs.

• Agents in our network must have a proven track record of customer success necessary to make your home buying or selling experience go smoothly.

What’s the difference between a real estate agent and a Realtor?

• Realtors are real estate agents who are members of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The NAR is an organization that serves the dual purpose of providing professional support to its members as well as making sure they adhere to a code of ethics and uphold a certain level of professionalism. To become a NAR member, an agent has to join their local Realtor association.

• A real estate agent must still be licensed to practice and doesn’t have to join the NAR, but becoming a member of the NAR can boost their reputation. The NAR requires agents to take additional ethics courses, they get networking opportunities, and they receive legal and tax support from their local NAR chapter.

Is it smart to try and buy a home without a real estate agent?

• Buying a home without an agent is risky. While there might be some potential to save money on an agent commission, trying to navigate the market without an expert could end up costing you more in the long run. Agents do more than help you understand the local market, they also get exclusive access to market information, especially on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service).

• Another critical role they play is in the negotiation process. Your agent will be able to tell you how much to offer to begin the negotiation, what concessions you should make, what concessions you should request, and when to give in or push back. Without a knowledgeable agent by your side, you could miss out on opportunities to save money such as negotiating on repairs or getting closing costs covered. Not to mention, a seller agent will know they aren’t working with a professional and try to leverage that to the seller’s advantage.

What is the Linking Agent Network (LAN) for Real Estate Agents?

LAN was formed to have an agent network to help homebuyers and sellers with their home transaction journey. By learning more about a buyer or seller’s needs, LinkingAgents connects customers to qualified local agents that fit their unique criteria. Our Customer Care Team helps to continue the relationship between agents and clients, ensuring clear lines of communication and a smooth closing.

What do I do if I don’t like my agent?

Simply submit the form to “Find an Agent” and a Customer Care representative will reach out to you. Let them know that you don’t think it’s working out, and they’ll happily connect you with someone who is a better fit. We understand not all matches work out and it can be awkward to speak up if you’re having issues. That’s why customer care is there to resolve any issues and make sure you get exactly what you want.

Why should I work with agents from your network?

When you work with LinkingAgents, you can be assured that they have been carefully vetted for experience, transaction volume, and customer satisfaction.
